Cuevas de Almanzora take a stand against gender violence

CUEVAS del Almanzora demonstrated its stand against gender violence, organising a day of activities related to the issue.
Well-known sociologist and expert on the subject Carmen Ruiz Repullo ran three workshops for pupils at the Jaroso Institute and gave a talk to families and professionals.
The sociologist has worked with young people and different groups on the prevention of violence and gender equality for 19 years.
“We must work together to achieve a world free of violence”, commented Cuevas Social Services and Equality councillor Melchora Caparros, adding that was why, “we organise these kinds of activities aimed at the population, not only on notable dates like 8M or 25N, but throughout the year.”
