POLICE have arrested a woman who allegedly passed herself off as a qualified lawyer in Fuengirola.
Officers claim the woman charged ‘clients’ up to €2,000 a minute for legal advice, reportedly even acting in court.
According to media reports, judicial officers uncovered the suspect’s fraudulent activity during a court appearance, leaving her clients without representation. Police claim the woman’s lack of genuine professional expertise also saw her lose several costly law suits, with some clients losing as much as €80,000.
