SPAIN’S most recognisable and well-known post office – Correos – has distributed a record amount of packets and parcels during 2018 in the Murcia Region.
Compared to 2017, it’s recorded a staggering increase of 80 per cent and equates to more than 2,650,000 items.
The figures come as more and more people are using online services which require home deliveries of a wide range of products, and so it is no surprise that some of the highest figures came during the months of November and December that coincided with ‘Black Friday’ and Christmas.
A total of 260,000 packages were delivered in the Murcia Region in November…a figure that rose to almost 329,000 in December. Across those two months alone, the number represented a 36 per cent growth compared to the same period in 2017.
Across the year as a whole, a monthly average of 221,000 parcels and packets were handled.
