A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing his ex-partner to death on Saturday afternoon.
According to police reports, the 47-year-old victim, Leonor, received 10 stab wounds during the attack at her home in Fuengirola.
The victim had reportedly known her ex-partner since she was fifteen.
The couple’s 16-year-old son was also attacked and sustained two cuts to the neck.
The alleged murderer was arrested shortly after when he has located at the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella.
The man had been sited at the hospital whilst he was requesting medical attention for the alleged ‘wounds’ he had received.
A local rally was held yesterday (Sunday) at noon, outside the local town hall of Fuengirola, to show support and protest Leonor’s death.
The mayoress of Fuengirola, Ana Mula, posted a message through Twitter, showing her “support and affection” to family and friends on behalf of Fuengirola.
