BRITISH police have said that a body has been found during the search for a British graduate who went missing in Spain last month. West Mercia Police, who have been handling the search for 23-year-old Nixon Smith in Britain, said they were informed yesterday (Wednesday) of the find. It comes as the police issued another appeal this week for information on the Geography graduate whose last known whereabouts were Madrid Airport. He had flown to Madrid from Malaga on November 19 and was due to catch a connecting flight to Birmingham but never boarded the plane. “Sadly, officers were informed today a body has been found. “Mr Smith’s next of kin has been informed,” West Mercia Police said. Nixon, from Stourbridge in the West Midlands, had been travelling in Spain and working on farms. He arrived on the Costa del Sol area prior to going home about a month before Christmas. Nixon was due to fly back to Britain on an emergency passport issued by the British Consulate in Malaga after being mugged a few days prior to his flight home.
