IN PICTURES: Provinces remain on YELLOW alert TODAY as 90kmh WINDS buffet Spain

‘YELLOW MONDAY’ has arrived and Spain’s national Met Office, AEMET, has put weather warnings in place for for snow, strong winds and high coastal waters over 34 provinces.
Gusts of 90 kmh have been recorded in the north of Spain in Galicia.
However, the strong winds have arrived to several corners of Spain this morning with 70-80 kmh winds being recorded in Almería, Granada, Jaén, Málaga and the Costa del Sol.
Inland Spain has suffered severe weather this morning in Aragon, Albacete, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Ávila, León, Segovia, Zamora and Tarragona.
The Balearic islands of Mallorca and Ibiza as well as Alicante and Murcia on the Costa Blanca experienced gusts nearing 70 kmh according to Aemet.
Yellow weather alerts for coastal waters are in place in Tarragona, northern Spain with 3 metre high waves crashing against the coast.
Yellow coastal warnings are being enforced on the Costa del Sol and on the Costa Blanca and extreme caution is recommended near coastal waters today.
