FEMALE entrepreneurs from a diverse range of businesses made the most of a collaborative networking event at Our Space in Marbella on Monday.
Costa Women, sponsored by the EWN Media Group, invited business women from across the Costa del Sol to attend a free, fun and relaxed evening to mark Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, providing a platform for making contacts, sharing knowledge and striking valuable friendships.
And almost 50 members and potential members took advantage of the opportunity.
Organiser Ali Meehan also launched her inspirational ‘Make It Happen’ planner 2019.
“The diary contains simple and effective tools to empower women to take charge of their lives.”
But the planner is more than a diary, it contains inspirational quotes, targets and goals, an opportunity to take account of achievements and create a future plan for further development.
Wellness coach Gemma Divine, of Herbalife Nutrition, credits Costa Women for the success of her business in Spain.
“Costa Women has kept me going here. I moved to Spain in March of last year and immediately went to a meeting, making lasting friends. Within my network of clients, a lot come from Costa Women. For me it has provided amazing opportunities.
”If it wasn’t for Costa Women, I would not have my new business, despite the experience I have of running a successful business in Ireland for six years.”
Mercedes Bassani, of Marbella Reality Trends, has attended a couple of Costa Women events, and said she ‘will definitely be becoming a member’.
“Costa Women is great. These are entrepreneurial women who know what they want and support one another,” she said.
Representatives from fellow Costa Women sponsors My Lawyer in Spain and Currencies Direct were also present.
Patricia Ruiz of the former Marbella-based legal firm, said: “It’s great to spend the evening with professional women and meet new people. The Costa Women members live here but have friends or people that they know who are coming to Spain or have inherited, and we can assist.”
Inara Guliyeva from the Fuengirola officer of Currencies Direct, added: “I love coming to these events, meeting new people and getting the word out there that we can benefit and help people save money.”
