POLICE in Spain have detained two women after finding a car loaded with more than 400 kilos of stolen red peppers. The cops were hot on the heels of the thieves and caught them red-handed after a landowner alerted them in Viana in the Navarra region of Spain. Regional police, the Policía Foral, said the two 33-year-olds allegedly stole peppers with a plan to sell them on the street. The peppers have now been returned to their rightful owner. And the two women face court charges for theft and damage amounting to around €700. RED-HANDED: Police stop car loaded with more than 400 kilos of stolen peppers.
