A MASS shooting has been reported at a nightclub in Thousand Oaks, California in the United States. Authorities say that 11 people were killed including a police officer. The gunman has also reportedly been shot dead. The numbered of injured is not yet known but many have presented themselves at local hospitals. Police said “hundreds” were inside the bar when the gunfire started. A spokesman said: “I have nothing to lead me to believe, or the FBI, that there is a terrorist connection, but we will certainly look into all options.” A witness said he saw someone throwing smoke bombs into the front of the restaurant. He also said he saw a security guard get shot. “The gunman was throwing smoke grenades all over the place.” “I thought it was a joke when the shots started firing. I know people there. I hope everybody’s OK. I don’t know how I didn’t get shot.”
