EMERGENCY SERVICES were on hand to extinguish a severe bar fire yesterday (Saturday) afternoon at about 1.25 pm in the south of Spain. Members of the emergency services of Sevilla were alerted to a fire on Calle Estrella Altair in the city. Within minutes several firefighters, Local and National Police arrived at the scene of the blaze. Firefighters extinguished the fire which gutted the bar, after a kitchen fire spread and engulfed the premises. UMIES, from the City Council of Sevilla, were sent to offer social assistance to affected residents in the area. Two children and an adult were in the bar as the fire started, however, all are believed to be unharmed by the incident. The owner of the bar suffered an anxiety attack in the wake of the fire according to emergency services.
