A SEVERELY neglected dog, abandoned in a plastic kennel in Spain, is the subject of a rescue mission to be flown to the UK to start a new life in time for Christmas. The abandoned Shar Pei was found in Gran Canaria, left to die in a plastic kennel covered in lumps. She was later found to be suffering from demodectic mange and a serious ear infection. A contact of the group Shar Pei Rescue Scotland (SPRS) has captured the neglected dog and she is temporarily under their care. Now SPRS has started a campaign to save the neglected dog, which has been named Noelle. Noelle is believed to be around seven-years-old and is now being given the chance to start a new life in Britain thanks to group of dog lovers. Gina McCallum writes on the SPRS Facebook group: “The begging bowl is truly out for our Christmas appeal.” The group is seeking donations to cover the costs of “immediate vet fees” and to transport Noelle to the UK. The group is also hoping to find Noelle a “forever home” in the UK. Ms. McCallum updated Noelle’s campaign page this afternoon (Thursday) claiming the group are “only short of 100 euros now to cover vet fees and 550 euros to get her home”. https://www.facebook.com/gina.mccallum.3/videos/pcb.1078112025703400/1984897148262886/?type=3&theater&ifg=1
