Healthcare and Brexit discussion on the Costa Blanca

ON Wednesday October 24 the British consul in Alicante, Sarah-Jane Morris, visits La Nucia to discuss Brexit.
The Foro Sanitario sobre el Brexit Health Forum in the Sala Ponent at the Auditorium is due to begin at 9am and will deal with British residents’ concerns regarding their health cover once the UK leaves the European Union.
There is no admission fee but it is necessary to register beforehand by contacting the bartgommans@lanucia.es email address or by ringing the administrative council office in the Caravana district on 96 687 54 10.
The Forum, which has been organised by Brexithealtcare.com in collaboration with La Nucia town hall, focuses on healthcare and other related issues for Britons living in Spain.
There will be information regarding the rights and obligations of residents and non-residents, the advantages and disadvantages of public and private healthcare as well as NIE numbers and the difference made by registering on the municipal Padron.
As well as Sarah-Jane Morris, other speakers include La Nucia’s Foreign Residents’ councillor Bart Gommans, the Police Commissioner for Immigration and representatives from state-run and private hospitals.
There will also be a chance for those attending to put their own questions to the panel of speakers.
