A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl and a man, 50, have died this morning (Tuesday) after falling from a fifth-floor window on the Costa del Sol.
A full police investigation is underway to discover what happened but local Spanish media claim that the man was a friend of the family, who was welcomed into their home, but this is not confirmed by Spanish police.
The incident occurred at around 8.30am on Calle Jalón in Malaga city.
Emergency services 112 were contacted by several neighbours who reported seeing a little girl fall from a fifth-floor window followed by an adult man.
Ambulances, the National Police and the Local Police were despatched to the scene.
However, emergency services were only able to confirm the deaths of the two people.
An investigation has been launched by National Police into the circumstances of the deaths and the Emergency Coordination Center (CECEM) 112 in Malaga have activated their Psychological Intervention in Andalucia Emergencies and Disasters (GIPED) service to assist the families of the deceased.
