A WOMAN has died after slipping and falling 15-metres (50-feet) into a ravine while hiking in Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands. The 54-year-old Czech woman suffered serious injuries in the Punta del Hidalgo area that eventually led to her death. A helicopter was despatched to the area and flew her to Tenerife North Airport where an ambulance was waiting but she suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest. Paramedics resuscitated her and she was transferred to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands, where she arrived in critical condition, but later lost her fight for life.
