Broad-daylight machete attack in tourist hot spot in Spain

A MAN brandishing a machete has been captured threatening a defenceless victim who can be heard begging for this life in a zone popular with tourists in Spain.
The disturbing footage (scroll down) was captured from a first-floor apartment on Carrer de les Carretes in the Raval district of Barcelona – an area notorious for its drug-related violence, prostitution, and gang crime.
The district’s proximity to the city’s Gothic quarter, home to Barcelona Cathedral, makes it an area frequented by holidaymakers.
Tourists can be seen walking straight past the bloodied victim just moments after the machete-wielding man fled the scene.
A separate witness can be seen calling for emergency services to aid the bloodied victim.
The current condition of the victim or the specific injuries he sustained in the attack remain unknown.
Spanish media claim this is the second violent incident involving a blade on the busy street in the last few days.
