THE VINYL STRAW: Brit tourist sues club in Spain after a falling record sliced his face

A DECORATIVE vinyl disc, hung from a nightclub ceiling, plummeted to the dance floor slicing the cheek and eyelid of British holidaymaker.
Charlie Mercer, a British tourist in Ibiza, is suing Ibiza super club Amnesia after suffering nasty injuries to his face.
The 37-year-old Advertising director from West London reportedly feared losing his sight as the suspension wire supporting the large decorative record snapped.
Mr. Mercer was left with a gash across his eyelid measuring six inches after the incident after doctors worked hard to repair the damage.
Mr Mercer is still in the process of suing the club but claims the venue are refusing to respond to his lawyers advances.

Slater and Gordon, Mr Mercer’s legal representatives commented on the clubs refusal to cooperate, labelling the venue’s attitude as “disappointing”.
