A 65-YEAR-OLD woman has died on a Costa Blanca beach after being pulled unconscious from the sea. The incident was reported at 12.05pm yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon on the Poniente beach in Benidorm. Despite being administered CPR by lifeguards they couldn’t revive her. Paramedics from the Urgent Medical Care Service, SAMU, also tried to resuscitate the woman who tragically did not respond and died at the scene. It’s the second drowning within two days in the Alicante area. On Tuesday, September 18, a bather died at the Arenal del Bol beach, in nearby Calpe.
