POLICE sources in Spain have confirmed that the suspect package found on the Costa del Sol yesterday (Wednesday) contained explosives. Members of the police bomb squad, TEDAX, carried out a controlled explosion on the package that was spotted in the Alto de los Monteros urbanisation in Marbella. An ambulance was placed on standby at the scene but was not required. Police are investigating whether the device is related to organised crime or another cause.
