BRITAIN’S Laura Muir added a Diamond League 1500m title to her expanding list of achievements with victory over a high class field in Brussels.

The European champion won in 3 mins 58 seconds, ahead of American Shelby Houlihan and Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands.

“I was very heavy and even my arms were full of lactic acid, but I also felt very good,” said the Scot, 25.

“With my positioning, I have learnt from my mistakes in the past.”

The British record holder fell some distance behind Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay before reeling her in and taking the lead with just 400m to go.

Meanwhile fellow Briton Dina Asher-Smith was beaten into second by the Ivory Coast’s Murielle Ahoure in the 100m, but won gold in the 4x100m relay at the Diamond League finals in Zurich.
