Brit on trial for murder in UK after being deported from Spain

A BRITISH man who was extradited from Spain in connection with murder allegations is due to appear in court in London this week.
Jack Stevens, 19, was remanded in custody ahead of his trial which began last Monday. He was arrested in Spain in connection with the murder of Nashon Esbrand in Islington in August last year.
Stevens was detained following a joint operation between London’s Metropolitan Police, the National Crime Agency and Spanish authorities. His trial is being heard in the Old Bailey.
An 18 and 20-year-old man, as well as a 16-year-old boy, were both jailed in June for Esbrand’s murder.
Esbrand was stabbed to death in the doorway of a house on Mitchinson Road in the Islington area of the British capital. The trial continues.
