DIVERS have found the lifeless body of a 25-year-old non-swimmer who was swept out to sea after being hit by a wave while taking photographs in Ibiza. The alarm was raised yesterday (Sunday) morning at 8.20am by the young man’s female companion who was able to get out of the sea. Specialist divers of the Special Group of Underwater Activities (GEAS) of the Guardia Civil located the corpse in a rocky area near S’Illa Grossa several hours later. Spain’s Salvamento Marítimo, maritime rescue services, said the body of Paraguayan national had been transferred to the port of Ibiza. An autopsy will be held to determine the cause of death but police sources have already indicated that the young man had probably consumed alcohol and drugs.
