SHOCKING: 18 regions in Spain on alert for thunderstorms and heavy rain TODAY

THUNDERSTORMS and heavy rain have been forecast across 18 regions of Spain today by the country’s state Met Office, AEMET.
Holiday hotspots on the Costa Blanca are on alert as Alicante has yellow warnings in place for downpours and lightning. There are yellow risk warnings for Valencia too.
In the south of the country Andalucia has three regional warnings issued for thunderstorms in Almeria, Granada and Jaen.
And there are also alerts for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Barcelona.
Galicia in the north of the country is, meanwhile, on alert for high coastal waters.
Some alerts will remain in place until Tuesday.
