Girl ‘forced to live with dead dog’ for three-months in Spain claim

AUTHORITIES in Spain have taken a child into care after it was claimed that she had been forced to live with the corpse of a dog, that was allegedly been killed by her parents, for three months.
The alert was raised by neighbours who called in the Guardia Civil police.
According to the child her parents had suffocated the dog in Santovenia de Pisuerga (Valladolid) and when police entered the property they found the corpse on the kitchen floor.
The Seprona branch of the Guardia Civil has now taken over the investigation and will hold an autopsy to discover how the animal died.
While investigations continue the child has been removed from the custody of her parents and put into care.
