A FOREST FIRE that broke out yesterday is still active despite the efforts of fifteen aircraft to bring it under control today (Sunday).

The blaze at Cabezuela del Valle in the region of Caceres started on Saturday afternoon but toady several outbreaks were re-ignited with ‘force’.

In total 15 aircraft are involved in the firefighting effort, eight from the Fire Fighting Plan for Extremadura (Infoex), and seven from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

Two Canadair amphibious planes that can drop around 6,000 litres at a time on the flames are part of the team working to extinguish the wildfire.
