A CRASH between a minibus and a car in Spain this morning (Sunday) has left one person dead and 15 others injured.
The emergency control centre for 112 Galicia said the sole occupant of the car, a man aged about 36, had to be cut free from the wreckage car by firefighters but died at the scene.
Fifteen of the 18 eighteen passengers in the minibus, including three children, were injured. One casualty was airlifted to the Hospital Clínico de Santiago by air ambulance. The rest were transferred to other nearby hospitals by road.
The collision happened this morning (Sunday) in Boveda (Lugo) in Galicia on the CG 2.2 road, at kilometre 40.8.
It is believed that the car collided with the minibus, which in its attempt to avert it, ended up smashing into the crash barrier.
