Back of the ‘net’! Fantastic news for Spain’s film industry

NETFLIX has revealed it is establishing its first European content production hub in Spain.

The United States-based video entertainment platform said in a statement the new production centre will be located on the outskirts of Madrid and will occupy almost a quarter of a media hub currently under construction by Spanish firm Grupo Secuoya.

The studios are expected to be operational by September and will concentrate on the company’s “growing slate of Spanish-language original content.”
