Two friends from Wales who swapped their lives in the UK for sunnier shores have gained fame on the Channel 5 show, Bargain-Loving Brits in the Sun.

The show, based in Benidorm, follows the lives of British expats as they embark on their new lives on the Costa Blanca.

Last Thursday’s episode featured Mark Jones and Blane Dickinson who own the tattoo parlour Inkaholics, reportedly one of the most popular in the Spanish resort.

Mark, 47, originally from the Welsh town of Rhyl, first moved to Spain in 2016 after holidaying in the resort for the past 20 years and his wife Gail, 51, then joined him last year.

Mark and Blane first opened Inkaholics about two years ago after a six-month delay while they sorted out the paperwork.

He became involved in the show when Blane, who he met through Facebook, messaged the producers.

During the episode, the tattoo artists were shown going about their daily business, which included ‘inking’ a few of their regulars as well as several more ‘impulsive’ clients.

Blane, 44, from Penmaenmawr revealed to UK Media sources that he was able to watch the show with his family in Spain, who ‘loved seeing themselves on TV.’

He revealed that although it was weird at first, they’ve become more used to the idea and said having a camera crew follow them around has been “great fun.”
