Traffic cops help deliver baby at roadside in Spain

A WOMAN who went into labour while on her way to hospital has two quick-thinking police officers to thank.

The woman and her partner were on their way to hospital in Valencia when they realised they wouldn’t make it.

They alerted a parked police traffic car on the V-30 ring road and they moved them to a safer location away from the carriageway.

One of the officers then helped the woman, who was in the passenger seat, as the baby’s head appeared.

Due to the father’s nervousness, he was unable to drive so the officer took the controls of the car and drove straight to the emergency department at the hospital.

It is reported that mother and baby are both fine.
