One dead and five injured in multiple motorbike crash on Costa del Sol

ONE person has died and five others have been injured in an accident involving several high-performance motorcycles at kilometre 28 on the A-355 road between Marbella and Ojén on Saturday.

For reasons not yet clear several motorcycles from a group left the road near the viewpoint, an area popular with motorcyclists.

The 112 emergency services co-ordination centre received the first reports of the crash at about 12.30 in the afternoon.

One biker was critically injured and died later.

Five others were injured – three men and two women – and all are described as ‘stable’ at the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella.

Ambulances, Civil Guard and Local Police attended the scene but the air ambulance that was initially despatched was stood down.
