THE life-saving actions of two Guardia Civil officers at Alicante–Elche Airport have been praised after they attended an unconscious child lying on the floor.
Officers spotted a ditressed, young couple in the departures area with their child lying on the ground.
The child had symptoms of stiffness, loss of consciousness and difficulty breathing.
The officers took the child in their arms and rushed direct to the airport’s medical facility where the child was stabilised.
An ambulance then took the child to the General Hospital in Alicante where tests were performed to determine the cause of the convulsions.
