Driver dies after lorry bursts into flames and plummets off bridge in Cantabria

A DRIVER has died after his lorry burst into flames and plummeted off a bridge in Cantabria.

The 53-year-old’s vehicle crashed into the barriers at the Onton Bridge and caught fire according to reports.

He then fell out of the driver’s seat before the cabin plunged into another road below.

At the time of writing the A8 heading towards Santander was gridlocked as emergency services try to clear any materials that could still fall and cause further accidents.
