ONE person has died and another thirteen injured, one seriously, after a gas explosion sparked a house fire in Puente la Reina, Navarra.
The deceased, who has not been named, was an 80-year-old man who lived on the floor where the blaze broke out, while the wounded were pedestrians passing by at the time of the blast.
It came during the town’s patron saint festivities, as the street was packed with revellers.
The entire building was evacuated in the wake of the incident.
