ARRESTED: Police meet the diverted aircraft at Bristol Airport

A THOMSON flight from Glasgow to Alicante was forced to divert and land at Bristol Airport after staff became concerned about the behaviour of three male passengers.

As the flight touched down at Bristol it was met by a large police presence and officers  arrested the three disruptive men.

The flight was delayed for an hour and a half before continuing its journey to Spain.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said the men have been arrested on suspicion of using threatening, abusive or insulting words towards crew while on an aircraft.

The three men are now in custody.

Dramatic images of  the scene  were taken by Jason Wassall who had just landed on a flight from Split, Croatia, that was on a nearby stand.
