Spain now has “excellent” international reputation

SPAIN has climbed four places in an international ranking of country´s exterior images.

According to findings by the Reputation Institute Spain has risen to 13th place in a ranking which gauges how countries are seen internationally based on quality of life, condition of institutes and development.

Canada took first place in the survey with Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the Nordic countries following closely behind. Spain received a total of 74.6 points, which is not far behind Canada´s 82.8. The US did not make the top 20.

The reason for Spain´s four point increase from 2016 is believed to be the economic recovery in progress along with an increase in foreign tourism and more foreign investment.

Germany, Russia, the UK and France gave Spain the highest scores but the UK now sits at number 18 after a 5 point drop.
