Man sentenced to prison for killing his twin in Murcia

A MAN has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for killing his twin brother in Murcia.

The 37-year-old said “I didn’t know what I was doing, I’m sick.

“I’ve been receiving psychiatric treat for 23 years, while still being hooked on drugs.”

The defendant claimed both he and his brother had a drug abuse problem and would take pills “like they were sweets.”

Juan O.M stabbed his brother in what he claims was self defence because he “reached into his pocket.”

The incident took place in their parents home in Cehegin, where the deceased had returned after drinking, and began arguing with his brother over a polisher.

“I regret everything, I carry my brother in my heart” said the defendant.
