Youngsters enjoy a residential visit to Spain

HM Government of Gibraltar

Exploring the area by bicycle

THE Luce Foundation Project organised a week-long adventure for 16 Gibraltarian youngsters aged 13 and 14 to El Puerto de Santa Maria in Spain.

This visit which was supervised by youth workers, teachers and a police officer gave the youngsters an opportunity to experience a number of new activities which are not easily undertaken in Gibraltar.

Staying in log cabins during their break, the participants had the chance to try their hands at archery, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and a high ropes course as well as taking a trip to Cadiz.

The trip also allowed them to interact with new people and enjoy a week away from the sometimes claustrophobic environment of Gibraltar and to enjoy staying in larger natural surroundings.
