Elliott Wright bares all to raise awareness of Male Cancer

ON  the 20^th anniversary of the film The Full Monty, eight brave celebrities agreed to re-enact the famous scene from the movie to increase cancer awareness.

The theory was that men would be reminded of the need to have regular check-ups for this pernicious disease and women would be reminded of days gone past!

The brave and initially nervous celebrities taking part were reality star and Mijas restaurateur Elliott Wright, McFly drummer Harry Judd,  ballet dancer, Wayne Sleep, former Olympic swimmer, Mark Foster, Emmerdale actor, Matthew Wolfenden, TV presenter, Dom Littlewood, and Death in Paradise and Red Dwarf actor, Danny John Jules, together with host Alexander Armstrong.

The celebrities had just six days to practise under the watchful eye of dancer Ashley Banjo before performing in front of TV cameras and an audience of thousands at the famed London Palladium.

Elliott revealed the reason he decided to take part: “My dad got prostate cancer two years ago, and he wasn’t quick enough and it spread, and when prostate cancer spreads you can’t get rid of it.”

The owner of Olivia’s in La Cala de Mijas and his father Eddie regularly become involved in local events to raise awareness of the dangers of prostate cancer and to raise funds for local charity Positively Blue.
