OFFICERS of the National Police have recovered 138 stolen lorry vehicles worth €500,000 and arrested four people.
The engines were being transported from a factory in Valladolid when the thieves struck, hi-jacking the lorry and stealing the engines.
It is believed that the gang is also responsible for the theft of a number of lorries and trailers and the stolen items were recovered from a warehouse in Borox, Toledo where the owner and an employee were arrested followed by two men believed to have been responsible for the thefts.
