A CAR thief was forced to abandon a high end vehicle in Marbella after realising there was a 13-month-old baby on the back seat.
The bizarre incident occurred after the child’s mother parked her Porsche Cayenne outside her husband’s business near the Bellamar school in the city centre.
After leaving the keys in the ignition, she was shocked to see the car speeding away seconds later, immediately calling the police.
An alert was dispatched to all patrols from Marbella to Estepona, but the vehicle was abandoned just 200 metres down the road, presumably after the thief noticed the child, who was found unharmed.
He or she currently remains at large.
