Unconscious boy, three, pulled from swimming pool in Spain

A DROWNING three-year-old boy has been resuscitated by local police and an ambulance crew in the popular holiday resort of Denia in Spain.

The parents pulled the lifeless toddler from the water and called the 112 emergency services.

A local police patrol was first on the scene who carried a defibrillator in their car. They used it to recover the child’s pulse.

Also quickly on the scene were  a SAMU medical team also arrived. The team performed resuscitation techniques and the child regained vital signs.

The  mother was also attended by the medics as she suffered an anxiety attack.

The SAMU ambulance transferred the boy  to the hospital in Denia in a serious condition.

Since there is no pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Denia, they decided to transfer the child by ambulance to the Hospital Clínico de València.

His condition is now described as serious but stable.
