Nadal claims his third straight title since the Barcelona Open
RAFAEL NADAL beat Dominic Thiem 7-6 (10-8) 6-4 to win his fifth Madrid Open title.
The Spaniard has now won three straight titles, moving him back into the world’s top four.
He replaces 18-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer which will improve his seeding for the French Open.
