THE bouncy castle incident which left one girl dead and six injured in Girona was not secured adequately according to police.
Investigations found only two of the six pegs were secured to the ground and the owner of the inflatable, Jaume Matas, did not have the correct licensing to use it at his restaurant.
Mas Oller faces heavy sanctions from the Generalitat Home Office but Matas said the attraction was still in its “trial phase” and had “no problems” with it in the previous month he was using it.
Two of those who were seriously injured in the accident are at the time of writing in a stable condition.
The seven and 11-year-old who sustained minor injuries are still in hospital and the three-year-old girl has already been discharged.
