MICHEL AND STEVEN: Head up EWNMG
A BRAND new newspaper has launched on the Costa del Sol.
RTN Costa del Sol debuted today (Friday May 5) and will be available free from key local distribution points from Benalmadena to Sotogrande.
Boasting 64 pages for the launch issue, the RTN brand of English-language community newspapers was initially established on the Costa Blanca 18 years ago.
The successful brand, which has since expanded with editions covering the Valencia, Alicante and Murcia regions, was earlier this year taken over by EWN Media Group (EWNMG), publishers of six editions of this newspaper, and also the Sol Times titles.
Now with today’s launch of the RTN Costa del Sol edition, the brand further increases its footprint area and provides readers and advertisers increased choice. RTN Costa del Sol will increase the number of weekly publications owned and handled by EWNMG to 13, and further expansion is also on the cards.
Michel and Steven Euesden, who head EWNMG, said: “This latest launch clearly shows that despite the ongoing challenges being faced within media globally, our group has exciting expansion very much on its radar screen.”

It must be said that mere transfer of a newspaper in itself is a commercial initiative. More importantly, the new look RTN is a breath of fresh Mediterranean air. There is now more news and better presented too. New columnists who will soon become your family too. The entire appearance has been much improved, which one expects of a world-class international newspaper group. Good wishes with this splendid initiative. Michael
