British man arrested after hen party girl death plunge from Benidorm balcony

SPANISH police have arrested  a British man following the death of a girl who plunged to her death from the 10th floor of a Benidorm apartment block at the weekend.

The girl, so far named only as Kirsty, was on a hen weekend with a group of 35 and her body was recovered from beside the swimming pool

A source has said the man, who was staying on the floor above the victim’s apartment,  was taken into custody as his version of events didn’t match those of his friends.

However, police were not able to take a formal statement from him because it is alleged the group had been drinking heavily and taking drugs.

Police investigations are continuing.
