Coordinating the investigation
THE Emergency services 112 of Andalucia have reported that after a light aircraft disappeared from radar screens, wreckage and bodies have been found.
The aircraft – the make as yet unidentified – took off from Muchamiel Airport in Alicante, heading for Granada when it disappeared from radar at 4.30pm on Saturday (April 29) afternoon in the vicinity of the mountainous Canillas Aceituno region in Axarquia.
Emergency units including a Guardia Civil helicopter searched the area and it was confirmed that the plane had crashed and all three on board had been killed.
The following day, officers attended the scene to remove the bodies and to make initial studies of the wreckage of the aircraft to try to identify the reason for the crash
