Magaluf
A BRITISH tourist was killed by a drink and drug fuelled driver as he staggered home from a night out with friends in Magaluf. The 40-year-old died instantly in Punta Ballena after reportedly being dragged more than 10 metres by the speeding Ford Focus.
The tragic incident took place at around 3am on Sunday morning, April 23. A Spanish man, 39, was arrested and tested positive for drugs and alcohol. He is expected to be charged with death by dangerous driving.
Local Police had received several calls just moments before reporting the Ford Focus tearing down the packed Punta Ballena strip and dispatched several cars. The victim was also drunk and zigzagging across the road when he was struck. He suffered a heart attack alongside his injuries.
