SPANISH riot police armed with batons have confronted Leicester City football fans after objects, including glass bottles, were thrown at officers.
Blue smoke flares were also set off in Plaza Mayor and chants of “Gibraltar is ours” could be heard.
Thousands of Leicester fans have travelled to Madrid for their Champions League quarter-final first-leg game against Atletico Madrid.
Foxes fans claim police attacked innocent bystanders.
One witness told BBC 5 Live: “There were a couple of people who probably antagonised the police, but then they took out all these people here.”
