Major collision after driver ends up on the wrong side of road

ONE person has sustained minor injuries after a head on crash on the N332 near Benidorm this morning.

The collision occurred after a vehicle mistakenly took a wrong turn at the so-called ‘Raphael roundabout,’ heading towards Alicante. The driver, of unknown foreign nationality, became confused and ended up on the wrong side of the dual carriageway.

The car crashed head on into an oncoming vehicle, just metres from the roundabout exit. The other driver sustained injuries which were taken care of by emergency services on the scene.

The road has been temporarily closed off by Guardia Civil Traffic officers and the Local Police.
