MISSING: Rafael Nadal
SPAIN will be without Rafael Nadal, the 14-time Grand Slam champion, when the team faces Serbia in the Davis Cup quarterfinals in Belgrade from April 7-9.
No reason was given by Spain’s captain Conchita Martinez although Nadal also missed the Davis Cup tie against Croatia last month because of fatigue.
Spain’s second-ranked player, Roberto Bautista Agut was also absent from the list.
Instead the team will be led by world number 19 Pablo Carreno Busta, who will be joined by Marcel Granollers, Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Marc Lopez.
