A TALENTED musician from Almoradi is preparing to make his debut in the Royal Albert Hall in London and what makes this achievement so impressive is that the star is just nine years old.
Alexandro de Gracia Garcia Antolinos has been playing the French horn since he was six and already, at the age of nine, has the sort of musical CV many musicians in their 30s would be enviable of.
He has already won numerous national awards and recently won the prestigious Grand Prize Virtuoso held in London in the junior metal wind category.
He is the youngest Spanish musician ever to obtain the recognition and will collect the award in person at the Royal Albert Hall on April 12 where he will also perform a solo piece.
Alexandro studies at the Conservatory of Orihuela where he is already interpreting professional pieces and some of the great musical classics such as Mozart, Strauss and Beethoven.
For the young child prodigy, everything began as a hobby and at the age of six he was already playing the horn shortly after joining the Union Musical School of Almoradi.
He is currently a member of the Symphonic Band of the Musical Union of Almoradi and Banda Joven, the Youth Orchestra of the Province of Alicante and the Band of Symphonies of the Federation of Bands of the Region of Murcia.
